"Desi" is a Hindi word which means "Indian" in English. Desi Garlic is a 5 month crop (Oct - Feb) grown in northern and western India. Majority garlic is 30mm to 45mm size. Each garlic has approx 10 to 15 garlic cloves. Pungency is strong. Allicin content is higher than Himachal and Ooty garlic.

Himachal Pradesh is a northern state of India. Garlic is grown on the Himalayas at an altitude range of 4000ft to 6000ft. It is a nine month crop (Oct to May). Each garlic has 6 to 10 cloves. Size ranging from 20mm to 60mm. The look and the size is similar to chineese garlic but the pungency/taste is much stronger than Chineese garlic. Allicin content is higher than chineese garlic.
